Graham Hall

Graham Hall is a Whanganui-based printmaker whose work explores personal and collective themes through a rich visual language. Drawing inspiration from both the natural world and symbolic imagery, his practice often reflects on identity, history, and mythology. Over the years, Graham has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions, including major biennales in China, Armenia, and Croatia, and has been a finalist in the New Zealand Printmaking and Painting Award multiple times.
With a career spanning decades, Graham has been deeply involved in arts education, currently serving as Head of Visual Art at Whanganui High School. He has also taught at various institutions, including Quay School of the Arts. Graham holds a Master of Art and Design (Hons) from AUT and a Diploma in Fine Arts from the Quay School of the Arts. His work continues to evolve, grounded in his passion for printmaking and its power to tell stories across cultures and generations.
