Developing Your Realistic Drawing with Roger Key

Drawing realistically is the vital foundation for painting and any other creative media you wish to use and it’s a skill anyone can master when you learn how. Whether a complete beginner or experienced, this one day class will demonstrate straight forward techniques that work for any subject you wish to depict and will transform your drawing abilities and confidence. In a relaxed and friendly environment, come and discover that drawing is something we can all do and what a huge difference it will have in any media you use!
What to bring:
All you need to bring is A4 or A3 drawing pad/paper, H pencil, pencil sharpener or knife – all other materials will be supplied. Morning and afternoon tea is provided – BYO lunch.
Age Suitability
While this is an adults drawing class, students high school age and older are welcome enrol if the parent/guardian is confident they are mature enough to attend.
Minimum capacity – 10 pupils
Maximum capacity – 16 pupils

Roger Key, BFA, PGDip Tchg(Sec)
Having studied and graduated with a BFA from the Quay School of Fine Arts in Whanganui in 1999 , Roger Key has tutored visual arts professionally at tertiary level in the Wellington region for 20 years and has worked in a variety of creative art industries, including film, design and photography. Roger currently runs his own tutoring business Keyarts.nz, based in Wellington. His own art practice, which is primarily painting, is vital to underpinning his tutoring by being fully engaged in the process of creating art as a natural and fundamental part of his everyday life, with all its challenges and rewards.
