Steets for People – Kids Create & Make Bunting Flags (All Ages)

Kids Art in Space is super excited to be part of the Whanganui Town Centre Regeneration – Streets for People Block Party event this Saturday, offering children an opportunity to make a decorated bunting flag to wave during this epic festive day of fun, food & music.
Pop into Space between 10am-12pm (right opposite the bus hub) no booking required and the activity is free thanks to funding from Waka Kotahi’s Streets for People project.
Take a look at what else is happening this Saturday at the Bus Hub on St Hill Street and be sure to support our good friends at Women’s Network Whanganui by buying a nice hot saussie!

Public Transport Hub Celebration – 10am-1pm (St Hill Street)
The ‘Public Transport Hub Celebration’ on St Hill Street (next to the Trafalgar Square carpark) will feature live music with a pop-up baby grand piano on site and local musicians including Hot Potato, Brass Whanganui and local UCOL music students providing a morning serenade.
Along with the music, there’ll also be free face painting for kids, a sausage sizzle raising money for the Whanganui Women’s Network, and special public transport-themed giveaways.
