Whanganui High School is proud to announce a special exhibition showcasing the exceptional talent of its Year 12 and 13 students, as part of the 2025 Cultural Awards.

The exhibition, originally an invite-only celebration on Thursday 23rd October (and part of the awards ceremony hosted by the Royal Whanganui Opera House), has been extended to give the public an opportunity to experience the impressive portfolios created by students across Photography, Painting, and Design.

The exhibition will be open to the public on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th October from 10am–3pm.

Visitors can expect a wide-ranging and visually engaging showcase of the creative skill, passion, and cultural expression of Whanganui’s next generation of artists. The portfolios reflect months of dedication and exploration by the students and highlight the strength of the school’s visual arts programme led by Head of Department Graham Hall, Kaye Coombs, Catherine Sleyer & Glen Hutchins.
