Duncan Foord – Sheds along the awa – Whanganui

Buildings along the awa at Whanganui Port. The Harbour Master’s Watchhouse, the light-coloured building on the left, still stands today, others have been demolished to make way for new development. I was lucky to pass this shed several years ago under the strong midday sun, having disembarked from a fishing tour run from the wharf. This print reminds me of a sepia tone photograph, and already it is a glimpse into the past.
