Frances Sim-Higgins- Margaret Merrill, February
We all admire a newly opened rose, it’s beautiful form, rich colour and scent, but we do not normally stop and admire the rose that has ‘ given it’s all’ and is now starting to fade and die.
I painted this rose bigger than life size to illustrate that beauty still endures even though the rose is nearing the end of its short but glorious life.
