MARIE COLVIN (1956 – 2012) Marie was a foreign correspondent for The Sunday Times in London, and one of the most remarkable war reporters of her generation. She covered every conflict, from Beirut in the mid-’80s to the war in Syria, where she was killed by the Assad regime. She won the International Women’s Media Foundation award for Courage in Journalism for her coverage of Kosovo and Chechnya. She wrote and produced documentaries. Marie had a reputation as one of the most courageous foreign correspondents of her generation.
