Miho – Boléro

$300

Boléro is a piece by French composer Maurice Ravel (1875–1937), originally commissioned as a ballet dance. Boléro and its ballet dance have been adapted into various media, most notably in the film “Boléro”, a 1981 French drama.

The Boléro rhythm is played on the snare drum 169 times without stopping. It starts at a barely audible pianissimo and ends in a thunderous fortissimo. The melody is passed between solo instruments before gradually incorporating the full orchestra to reach the climax. The ballet dance, like the music, moderately grows more solemn and dignified as it approaches its conclusion, eventually reaching the peak.

This single movement of music and dance is a reflection of life.
