Shonagh Lindsay – Seeing Hockney in the Garden

$280

I have always loved David Hockney’s art, thinking of him as the joyful artist, wielding his pencils, paints, photos and later iPad and digital pen with the most exquisite effect. I was removing dried bean pods in Autumn at the Heritage Food Crop Research Trust where I volunteer and I saw opposite me a blue wall, red shed, black spade and lime yellow trees. Perfect I thought for a Hockney inspired print. Like a lot of artists, as he grew older he loved his local landscapes.
