Today I went to Kmart (Series-click for multiple works)

$385 each

More than 450 slave workers – many of them burned, maimed and mentally scarred were rescued from Chinese brick factories in an investigation into illegal labour camps.

Children as young as 14, reportedly tricked or abducted into labouring at the kilns, slaving for 16 to 20 hours a day for no pay and barely enough food to live. Beaten by guards and kept from escaping by dogs. Toddlers tethered to walls as their mothers slave.

Mega factories producing electronic goods, the size of a city are home to thousands of workers. Here they live their repetitive lives, work, sleep, marry, conceive, toil. Work, sleep, marry, conceive, toil.

My conscience is stirred…………..but Today I went to Kmart.
