I am a painter, print-maker and tattoo artist from Taranaki, currently based in Wellington.

My expressionist style is heavily influenced by German Expressionism and Post-Impressionism and explores elements of my personal life, human’s relationship with nature, abstract forms and animal motifs. My communication tower series came about one afternoon when I was walking my usual route around the Wellington town belt and the communication tower on Mt Albert caught my eye, so I started drawing it. The wires, poles, antenna, and beams became a vessel to explore forms in a way that felt new and exciting. Back in the studio I chose my favourites of the many drawings and created the series.
