This work interprets traditional English slipware, which uses simple materials and incorporates decorating into the making process. The earthy colours of warm terracotta, runny cream, sticky honey and a rich, liquorice black evoke childhood memories. Comfort foods, plush toys, imagined night-time creatures and dreams. This collection is a soothing balm in the form of functional homewares.
